When it comes to renewing SEAT Extended Warranty, we'll contact you in advance of your renewal date. If you've not heard from us when you were expecting to, you can contact us.
You can renew your cover in just five easy steps. Just enter your details into our online journey (visit the ‘Get Cover Now’ section on this page) and receive a new quote based on your current circumstances. You will only be able to get a quote and activate your new policy when there is less than 30 days left on your current warranty or if your current warranty has expired.

If your existing warranty is about to expire, or you don't have a warranty in place, you can choose to purchase an Extended Warranty on your vehicle. With a SEAT Extended Warranty, you’ll get 12 months’ cover against the costs of repairing or replacing mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle that have suffered sudden and unexpected failure during the period of cover. SEAT Extended Warranty is designed for anyone driving an SEAT that wants to protect themselves against the costs of repairing or replacing components, should they fail suddenly and unexpectedly. Moreover, it ensures that any necessary repairs will be carried out by an SEAT Approved Centre, using SEAT Genuine Parts.

There are two levels of cover you can choose from: Named Component Cover and All Component Cover.
- All Component Cover is our most comprehensive level of insurance. It pays for the cost of repairing or replacing the factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle, should they suffer sudden and unexpected failure. The maximum we will pay per claim is the market value† of your vehicle.
- Named Component Cover pays for the costs of repairing or replacing named factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle (as listed in the Cover Booklet), should they suffer sudden and unexpected failure. The maximum we will pay per claim is £1,000.* However, if the market value† of your vehicle is under £1,000,* the maximum we will pay is the market value.†

If SEAT Extended Warranty cover does not meet your requirements or should you decide to cancel it for any reason within a period of 14 days, you can obtain a full refund of the premium paid without charge, subject to no claims having been paid.
The 14 day period begins on the day you receive an email with your Confirmation of Cover. After the 14 day period, you can cancel your cover and be entitled to a pro-rata refund, subject to no claims having being paid. A cancellation fee of £25 applies and will be deducted from your refund amount.

When you buy a new SEAT, it includes a two-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and a third-year warranty up to 60,000 miles. Plus, you’ll be covered with a three-year paintwork warranty and a 12-year anti-perforation warranty. To be eligible to benefit from this cover, you must confirm the following statements are correct:
- You don't live in the Isle of Man or the Channel Isles
- You are not in the motor trade or deal with the buying, selling or repairing of motor vehicles
- Your vehicle must not be used for hire or reward, public services (e.g. emergency services), professional instruction, competition or off-road use, motor rally, speed or duration tests or any practice for these events
- Your vehicle has not done more than 100,000 miles
- Your vehicle was not manufactured by anyone other than SEAT
- Your vehicle is not a kit car, grey import or powered by fuel cell(s) or LPG
- Your vehicle has not been modified from the manufacturers' specification (manufacturer fitted optional extras are not classed as being a modification)
- You must make sure your vehicle is serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's schedule
- Your vehicle is not a pre-series or special series vehicle (limited editions with less than 200 vehicles produced)

Yes, SEAT Extended Warranty will cover you in continental Europe, including popular locations such as France and Italy. However, some terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. To understand exactly where in continental Europe we provide cover, please consult your Cover Booklet.
If you have All Component Cover, the maximum we will pay per claim is the market value† of your vehicle.

When you buy your new SEAT from an authorised UK Retailer, you’ll get a three-year vehicle warranty. It includes a two-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and a third-year warranty up to 60,000 miles. When your SEAT was first ordered, there was also the option to extend this into a fourth or fifth year, which may or may not apply to you. If you have an approved used warranty, you should have received an email with a confirmation of cover. This document should show the start and end of your SEAT’s warranty.
If you’ve bought a SEAT Extended Warranty with us, you should have received a welcome email with a confirmation of cover attached. This document should show the start and end of your SEAT’s warranty. In addition, we will email you when your warranty is due to expire. If you have any further questions or concerns, you can get in touch.
If a mechanical or electronic component in your car fails suddenly and unexpectedly, you can visit a SEAT Retailer and have a diagnostic check completed. A diagnostic scanner will be connected to your SEAT to complete a digital analysis of your car’s various computer systems and components. Any fault codes that appear will indicate to our SEAT Trained Technicians which related components should be investigated first.
Once the check is completed, and if the fault is determined to be covered by SEAT Extended Warranty, the SEAT Retailer can submit a claim on your behalf.
You will need to visit a SEAT Retailer if a mechanical or electronic component in your car fails suddenly and unexpectedly. They will schedule a diagnostic check to determine the problem.
If your Extended Warranty claim is accepted, all labour and material charges - including the diagnostic test - will be covered (subject to your excess). However, you will be responsible for covering the cost of any diagnostic tests if the claim is declined.
If a component fails due to wear and tear, we will not cover the costs of repair or replacement. It’s really important you understand exactly what is and isn’t covered, so take a look at the Cover Booklet for full information.
Extended Warranty cannot be transferred from one vehicle to another since both the policy and price are tailored to your vehicle’s make and model.
Extended Warranty cannot be transferred from one person to another since the policy options you selected relate to how you drive your SEAT. If you are selling your car, you’ll need to cancel your policy and they’ll have to setup their own cover.

If no claims have been paid out on your policy and you decide to cancel within the first 14 days, you can obtain a full refund of your premium. The 14-day period begins on the day you receive an email with your Confirmation of Cover. After the 14 day period, you can cancel your cover and be entitled to a pro-rata refund, subject to no claims having being paid. A cancellation fee of £25 applies and will be deducted from your refund amount.
If a claim has been paid out on your policy
If a claim has been paid out and you decide to cancel within the first 14 days, you will not be entitled to a refund and the full 12-month premium will be payable to us. The 14-day period begins on the day you receive an email with your Confirmation of Cover. If you cancel after the first 14 days, you will not be entitled to a refund and the full 12-month premium - in addition to an administration fee of £25 - will be payable to us.
